Mississauga Tomahawks Box Lacrosse
Field Lacrosse Overview

We are looking for rep. players or House league players that know they can play rep. but cannot make the commitment to playing a full summer rep. schedule or good fast athletes that want to learn a new full contact sport.

Field lacrosse is primarily a U.S. game of lacrosse played at a large number of high schools & Universities in the U.S.  The popularity of professional lacrosse has promoted the game of lacrosse indoors but is really a combination of U.S. field lacrosse & Canadian box Lacrosse. This has lead over the last 30 years to an expansion of field lacrosse to club teams like you Mississauga Tomahawks & many of the high schools in Mississauga.

Over the last 4 years since we resurrected the field lacrosse program in Mississauga we have fielded on average 4 teams Novice 10 & under , Peewee 11 - 12, Bantam 13 - 14 & Midget 15 - 16. One year we had 6 teams and are willing to accommodate more teams if the players & coaches are available.

Success!

Four years ago we won our 1st bronze medal

3 years ago a gold medal & a Bronze medal

2 years ago a gold medal & a bronze medal

1 year ago a gold medal & a bronze medal.

The program over the last 4 years has been recognized by my associates as one of the bright spots in the development of field lacrosse in Ontario.

Our goal was to become a destination place for quality players to play field lacrosse & that continues to be the case.

The success of the program is based on developing players, and their skills along with having fun.  The philosophy is all about skill development & learning the game & giving players a place to play & feel good about their contribution to the team.

I am look forward to another successful season of field lacrosse in Mississauga.

Go Tomahawks Go !
