2009 MIDGET FIELD LACROSSE SILVER MEDALISTS

I just wanted to thank everyone for their efforts and time to field 5 teams this year and another very successful year of field lacrosse.

The year was a major growth year for Mississauga adding 1 full team at bantam.

Two of our teams competed at the highest level of field lacrosse the “A” level and went thru a tremendous transformation in caliber of play and understanding of the game, which will put us in an even stronger competitive situation next year.  For the Bantam 1 parents that are still learning about field lacrosse, “Clarington” the team we almost beat at the qualifiers in a most exciting and competitive game, ended up in 4th, losing by 1 goal to Oshawa in the bronze metal game, so in one year we have positioned ourselves to be one of the top teams in the province.

At Peewee “A” Beaches won and we were competitive with them as well.

Parents thank you for all your support, let me know if you can assist us in running our tournament next year, and if anyone is interested in joining the MTLA executive to assist in book keeping, or equipment or helping out to run a small portion of the program.

I will be getting back to you about exciting new that Brock may be providing about a winter league and also winter skills development programs.

Have a great, safe and happy summer.

Ray
